title: Workspace settings
description: The workspace name, and who your users see credited on their sign-in screen.
---

**Settings** holds what every project in a workspace shares. Owners and admins
can change it; everyone else sees it read-only.

## Workspace name

How the workspace appears in your console and the workspace switcher. Your
users never see it.

## Sign-in credit

When your users sign in with ZevID or approve access, the screen names who the
app belongs to. Until you set this up it says ZevAuth, with a note that the app
is not yet verified. Every project in the workspace uses the same credit.

### Verify your identity

Verifying your legal identity puts your own name on your users' screens
instead of ours.

1. Choose your country. Identity checks are available in some countries today;
pick yours even if it is not listed, since every answer helps decide where
   verification opens next.
2. Select **Verify with ZevID** and verify with your ID. It takes a few minutes,
and your documents are handled by ZevID, never by ZevAuth.
3. Come back to the console. It checks your status when you return.

If verification is not available in your country yet, nothing about shipping
depends on it: your sign-in keeps working exactly as before, credited to
ZevAuth.

### Add a business

Once your identity is verified, the workspace owner can credit a business
instead of themselves.

1. Choose the **country where the business is registered**. It does not have to
be the country of your own identity.
2. Choose the registration type and enter the registration number from the
certificate. Spaces and the prefix are fine.
3. The business's name and officers are read from the company registry. If you
are listed as an officer, it is verified straight away. If not, for example
as a trustee or authorised representative, a reviewer checks the claim
first, and your users see the business name without the checkmark
   meanwhile.

If your country's registry is not supported yet, choose **My country isn't
listed** and pick it. We record every answer to decide where to add business
verification next.

> **Note:**
> If the company registry is temporarily unreachable, nothing is recorded and
> your details are not the problem. Try again in a few minutes.

## What your users see

The credited name appears on ZevID's consent screen when someone signs in to
your app or approves access. A verified app also loses the "unverified app"
note: apply for that per project under **Configuration → ZevID verification**.
